Personal Statement

I am an academic pathologist focusing my efforts on lung, heart, and mediastinal diseases. My primary area of research includes understanding the pathogenesis of idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis, pathology evaluations of heart and lung transplantation, and the molecular characteristics of lung cancers. My ultimate goal is to help improve patients' treatments by providing accurate diagnoses and investigating the pathogenesis of the diseases. I strive to excel in thoracic pathology as a diagnostician, a passionate educator, and a front runner in translational research in the area.
